Lego Lord of the Rings, first part

I like to play silly games at times where you do not have to think and you just play them through. No tough choices or situations. You just either point and click through the game or jump, kill and move forward. After celebrating Midnight summer it was good to time to begin one of these kind of games what are playable even for kids. So I decided to play Lego Lord of the Rings.

You hav to gather all kind of goodies from the areas.

The game won't look scary.

Shire is pretty and lovely looking.

If you have played any from the licensed games by lego you will know how they work. You play as lego-look-a-like-characters and jump, kill and go forward. And of course you smash many things and gather lego coins and other specialities like chests etc. No blood or anything else what would game look more dangerous. And unfortunately the story follows the movies, at least so far  what I have been playing. So I was missing good old Tom Bombadil when Old Forest was skipped. What a disappointment.

Wandering around the Rivendell.

The Guardian of the entrance to Moria isn't a nice guy.

You better not to fall in Moria.

Of course the plot of the game is more straightforward then in the books or movies. But it works since at least I do know the basic story well enough not needing all the information. But I am not sure from those who haven't seen the movies nor read the books. Would they do like the story? That I can't answer. And I know some of the fans would be annoyed when some of the scenes are made to be funny ones or childish.  But yes, better remind again that this game is made for kids.

Meeting Galadriel.

Leaving Lothlórien.

There are also extra quests in the areas.

When I finished first part from I wasnät superexcited. The game is still nice for the days when you're tired to think after work but at the same time I am slightly annoyed that I can't recieve 100% played game unless I want to play same scenes through multiple times. There is always hidden places and areas what you can't look through immediately since on  the first gaming time you can't pick all the playable characters what you will need to finish the area. Plus there is also extra quests what you can finish in the areas. Those I haven't tried so far but I will make later second posting about this game where I also introduce those quests since those were new to me (I used to play Lego Star Wars and there wasn't any quests).

Seduce Me The Otome

I haven't played many storytelling games which are based to have a roman. Few years ago I tried Katawa Shoujo  where I was  playing a guy who tried to seduce one of the five girls. The girls were special ones since each of them had some sort of disability. After that I had a long pause with storybased games until I found The Wolf Among Us which was completely different kind of experience than that Katawa Shoujo.

You play young girl called Mika.
She actually have few friends at school.

The life takes new direction when one of her relatives dies.

Now I found new game from Steam and it was free to download and play. The name of the game was Seduce Me The Otome. When I launched the game it reminded me of the Katawa Shoujo in many ways. You were playing a lonely character with few friends and it was once again every booklike experience to play game through since there weren't often any options to make.

With who you would like to have romance?

Days won't be boring with guys and friends.

At times you can lead teh story by making decisions.

I played the game through about in 3,5 hours since it took me some time to read the options through. But yes.. Like I always do.. I took wrong options and game ended the way I didn't like. So Frustrating indeed. To see another kind of ending I had to click whole game through again since some of the important choices I had to do quite early in the game. But I made it throught to better end even endless clicking was frustrating since most of tehe conversations were same ones.

Of course there are some hidden secrects among family.

I got the kiss from the cute guy! Feeling like a winner.

How I felt about the game? I have to say that if you like romances you could play the game through definetely. Otherwise this game isn't for you. I enjoyed to play the game even at times conversations were a bit too long. Especially when my character decided to think a lot and all the thoughts were written out. Perhaps I would like to think some of the options as a player also and have more choices to make than just watch what character "played" by me ends up to do. But if you do not mind watching long dialogues  game is worthf of playing. Especially if you like the idea of the handsome incubi! So I would say this game is light, fun and perfect game for Summer nights if you do not have compani for some reason or another.

So you can find game from Steam and if you get frustrated to find happy endings, you can always search for the walkthroughs. At least I found few what seemed to lead to some of the possible romantic endings. <3

The Wolf Among Us

I have played this through earlier but didn't post about this earlier. But The Wolf Among Us is defintely worth of posting since it was very intensive game. I will explain more what kind of game it was but briefly I can tell you already that it is definetely worth of playing!

You're playing game as being Bigby Wolf.

So The Wolf Among Us is based on the comic books called The Fables. The game and comics tells about the fables who has escaped from their home worlds to live among humans since enemy attacked to their lands. But as you can imagine.. Life isn't easy for a fable among suspicious humans. So they have decided to live in secret hiding their true nature.

There is five episodes in the game.

Time runs fast when deciding right dialog.

Since The Wolf Among Us is storytelling game you won't decide your character. You play game through as a Bigby Wolf but of course story might change a bit depending what you're deciding to do. You can be empathic or more harsh. Decision is yours and story will be a bit different based to your choices. And I think sometimes I would like to get more time to think through between options. Time runs so fast that at times my Wolf was only quiet when didn't know what to decide from the options. Kind of frustrating for time to time. And problematic for players whose English isn't best possible.

The Beast got angry with me.

The Wolf  is thinking.

Snowhite is important part of the story.

I won't tell much about the plot here since it is best to play through but story isn't the nicest one. It is meant for adults and The Fables are not living happily ever afters. But despite the darkness and desperation what is strong in the game there is still some hope. Well at least my choices gave me some hope and everything didn't end miserably. Even you will play as Bigby there are other important characters helping you like Snowhite. And when you see new fables from the stories it gets interesting to see how they have managed to handle their lives among human. Some are doing fine, some way worse.

The Wolf Among Us was first storytelling game I have ever played myself. And I wasn't disappointed at all. I am get used to pause game whenever I want to but with this game it wasn't possible so I always needed certain amount of time to play through scenes before saving was possible. And of course you need to replay same discussions if you made wrong decision and wanted to change that.  But I believe that problem is on every storybased game. You can correct me if I am wrong.

If you haven't played The Wolf Among Us I can recommend it. Story is interesting and Bigby looks handsome (girlish opinion). And I prefer game isn't selling itself with nakedness, it is good because it is excellently written.
